Capoeira Group Class
Every Wednesday 7:30pm – 8:30pm
Capoeira – the fun fitness workout that builds stamina for self and community for all. This discipline is a true art of building strength, balance, and cardio. Capoeira can also be a unique workout routine if you are looking for a different and fun way to loose weight and get in shape.
In class, we will work on drills, transitions, learning basic to advanced techniques, and come together at the end of each class to ‘play’; which is using the skills we learned in a one on one challenge in a joda. In a joda is where we develop our community building by working together. We do that by making a safe circle & supporting the two players as they challenge on another, we make music together and cheer them on together.
This class includes learning the foundation of what makes Capoeira – Capoeira and having a better understanding of it’s history. The student will get a great workout and learn various skills. Classes are held at Chin Bo Jok Martial Arts Academy in Pittsfield, MA.
Preparing for Class
– This is a movement class. Please wear clothing you can move in. Long pants, t-shirt and low sole tennis shoe (martial arts shoes). If you need help with that, our logo shirts are available for sale. Click Here to Purchase
– If you have been diagnosed by a doctor for something, please check in with he / she to get the green light for doing a heavy workout.
